Personally, I admit that I am not fond of reading poems. For me, poems are too deep that an ordinary person like me, find too hard to understand. In addition, some poems are made just to impress others either for fame or to be legendary.
But the time I read this poem, it changed me. The structure and use of words were not that deep and formal as I expected because I really felt what the poem says. The poem was about a guy who had a very harmonious relationship with a girl in the past, but they were not meant for each other. It was a sad story, was it? After I read the poem, it sounds Freedom.
The poem, which is now trending in Facebook, goes like this:
The Purple Headband
She was the girl
The day I'll never forget.
She made everyone turn their heads
Surprised we even met.
That time
My hearts filled up with
It started with that crippling smile,
And the first move I
On the first look, I melted with desire
Ideas on getting hooked,
Nervous about getting cooked,
Chills on my body that I

If love is a drug,
We've been through
Companion through smiles and frowns

Endless fights, sleepless nights, million tears already shed
We stayed strong, going strong
Always able to bring our love back from the dead
But then the time has come,
The heat started to deteriorate,
Nights came that I always pray
Hoping that "forever" drive will continue to accelerate,
We both had done our best
But we are above the limit of the pain we can accumulate,
We tried to make things up,
But we're both afraid
I already felt the fear I've been hiding for quite
I had that "BreakUPhobia" symptoms,
Fear that I will lose my other half any time soon,
Afraid that this time
Dying everyday inside,
Tears fall at night scared that
Life loses its meaning, limitless sadness,
Everyday
Realizing that I just lost my heartbeat, left sanity
I lost my light, trapped in darkness.
I know we need to move on,
I tried to find myself,
You already passed the mark.
I saw myself at the edge of the ledge,
You already got that spark.
I learned to swim
Found my torch
Now
While
I wish nothing but the best for you
We're past our relationships' prime,
Thanks for helping me grow, motivating me
No time wasted, just treasured time.
Happy of what you've become,
Proud that I became part.
Sad that it is done,
Still happy

As long as a poem is made from the bottom of someone's heart and the poet proved to each reader that it is real, they will surely feel what the poet really felt. I felt that he moved on and he is happy at what they have with his ex-girlfriend right now.
