The whole country, as well as some parts of the world, know how great Manny Pacquiao is inside the boxing ring. His skills in this sport made his name popular all around the globe. What most people don’t know though is that Pacquiao is not just a champion inside the boxing ring but also outside of it.
Despite holding countless titles in boxing, Pacquiao decided to run for the senate where he won as one of the senators in the country.
One would think that maybe he would finally retire from boxing since he already has a stable career. He refused to do so because of one thing.
On a normal day, Manny Pacquiao juggles his responsibilities as a father, a husband, a champion, and a politician. However, he makes sure that he gives time for the people who need it the most - the poor.
This is basically the reason why he doesn’t want to stop boxing; it is because he enjoys giving what he has to the poor.
Most people know that PacMan wasn’t born into a rich family. Like most Filipinos, Pacquiao grew up in poverty.
Still, he grew to be a humble person and a good servant to his people.
In a video which recently circulated online, Pacquiao can be seen giving away goods to the poor.
Watch the video below:
Ever since Pacquiao became a popular personality, he never forgot to share his blessings with the needy. In fact, he has built more than 1,000 houses for the poor and has established numerous businesses and companies to help others land a job in his hometown.
Pacquiao even said:
“Poverty does not make me angry. But it makes me feel bad inside, and I want to help. I want the people of the Philippines to be happy, even if they have nothing. Even if they can just have enough to eat food three times a day. I feel so bad because God gave us everything to live in this world, so why don’t we share with other people?”
“I want to help people who are starving, who are hungry. I feel what they’re feeling because I’ve been there.”
“One day, when I’m gone from this world, my legacy will be that I helped people.”
