According to ABS-CBN News, the host-actor is set to play the role of eight characters.
Vhong disclosed:
“Sa loob ng isang pelikula o istorya, ang dami mong karakter na gagawin. Mahirap talaga kumbaga lalagyan mo ng flavor.”
His leading lady will be beauty queen Megan Young. She won the Miss World title in 2013. Based on the source, Vhong already worked with her in a television series in the past.
The host-actor said:
“Nagpapasalamat ako kay Megan Young dahil nga sa hindi talaga siya tumatanda, Megan Young eh, so waley, okay. Tinanggap niya ang project. Kasi si Megan Young nagkasama kami ‘Betty La Fea’ pa lang, so kumbaga ito ang first movie namin.”
Vhong admitted that playing the role was challenging for him since his own father recently passed away.
It was also the same reason why he didn’t appear on “It’s Showtime” for two weeks.
He explained:
“Alam mo kaya ‘di ako pumasok sa ‘It’s Showtime’ for two weeks, kasama na roon ‘yung lamay. Mahirap, sa ‘Showtime’ kasi ‘yung pagho-hosting namin, ‘di naman gumagawa ng pelikula na may karakter ka, ikaw ‘yun eh, personality mo ‘yon.”
In an additional report from Philippine Star Pang-Masa, the host-actor would star with EJ Falcon and Hashtags member Don Jon as well.
“Unli Life” will be produced under Regal Entertainment, the same production company that made him star in his previous comedy film, “Woke Up Like This.”
Vhong shared that he is extremely thankful for Roselle Monteverde for continuously trusting him to headline in another film.
Monteverde is a screenwriter for Regal Entertainment.
Meanwhile, details of “Unli Life” has yet to be disclosed.
