Yamashita’s gold or also known as the Yamashita's treasure is the name given to the alleged war loot stolen in Southeast Asia by Japanese forces. It was during the World War II and hidden in some tunnels, and caves in the Philippines. It is named for the Japanese General Tomoyuki Yamashita, also called as “The Tiger of Malaya”. Many treasure hunters from around the world searched for this hidden treasure over fifty years.
Last January 2, 2017, a video of alleged Yamashita’s treasure went viral all over the social media. It is claimed that the said treasure found in a cave in the Philippines.

The locals said that the alleged Yamashita’s gold was surrounded by miniature bombs. No official reports if the treasure has been safely recovered.
