It could be a dream come true for men to have a partner to who is always aroused and would want to have sex every single day, right? Knowing men, they are like sex machines ready to explode anytime, anywhere with a willing partner.
But this condition is actually like a continuous nightmare faced by a 23-year-old woman who has been battling with a very rare disorder which allows her to be constantly sexually aroused.
Amanda McLaughlin forms the US revealed the details of her struggle which might look pleasurable to others but is totally painful on her part. She admitted that this disorder led her to be unemployed and just stay at home.
Amanda’s condition is called “persistent genital arousal disorder” or PGAD, this causes pain in her legs and pelvis, the pain is so bad that he could not go to work. Amanda explained that she’s been suffering this problem for almost 10 years now.
Now Ms. McLaughlin has spoken of her ordeal as part of a documentary for BBC Three's Living Differently
In an interview with BBC’s “Three’s Living Differently,” Amanda revealed that she would always beg her fiancé, Jojo to have sex with her every day just to relieve her symptoms.
Amanda explained, “It’s not fun to be aroused all the time,’ she said. It feels like you’re about to orgasm and then it never goes away.”
Amanda began feeling the symptoms when she was 13-years-old but was diagnosed with PGAD six years after.
Her mother, Victoria has been very supportive of Amanda’s condition. But she admitted that when the whole family learned about it, they could not understand it at first, “when she first became sexually active she was having sex a lot,’ she said. My whole family just thought she was a w****. I doubted her completely – I still feel guilty,” Victoria said.

Amanda said that having the said rare disorder, it’s also hard to deal with relationships but luckily, her fiancé is very supportive of her struggles,
“But he never once has judged me, he never made me feel bad about working. It was love at first sight,” she added.
Amanda also revealed that her condition tremendously affected their sex life, she said,
“You’d think that you could have sex and it would just go away, but it doesn’t. Sometimes I will be crying and begging him to have sex with me just to relieve some of the pressure that I have down there.”
But Jojo has been very open-minded about Amanda’s condition. Jojo said,
“When she first told me I didn’t know how to feel about it but I liked her so I was prepared to jump in. The more I can learn, the more I can help her. I’ll help her so she can get anything she needs.”

Meanwhile, Dr. Priyanka Gunta, Michigan University’s assistant professor of neurology and Aman’s doctor said,
“Because it’s such a rare diagnosis and there’s been such little research we don’t know exactly what causes it. We suspect it’s multifactorial. I don’t have a quick cure for this but we’re going to be trying a few different therapies. I’m very hopeful that we can get her functioning better.”
To ease the pain caused by her condition, Amanda is now taking 30 different types of medication and uses ice “inserts” to ease her pelvic swelling.
